You, as well as other X-Files loving friends of mine, have been hinting and outright telling me about slashiness further along in the series but I haven’t really wanted to dig in it before I actually got there. But I guess I’m finally there, that icon of yours even popped into my head as I watched this episode. XDDDDD And although there’s only a hint of it so far I already want more. ^^
That and also the fact that I thought Krycek was waaaay cuter in the actual series than in the few pictures I’ve seen of him. ^^
(I kept thinking he looked familiar until I realized that the actor was on Supernatural recently. ^^;;;)
We haven’t had much time for X-Files recently but now things are calming down and we are watching it again. I’m becoming increasingly fond of the series. Is it just me though, or is there something almost innocent about Mulder? I’m thinking it might be one of the reasons I like him…

Oh, yes, I know how that goes. :-) Those two just keep growing on you as you watch, far beyond the point where you think there really can't be any change anymore. I find it quite amazing, myself. I'm looking forward to hearing more of what you think, when you have seen more of them!

He does work best in motion. Plus, the voice. Never underestimate the voice. ;-)
X-Files is a mixed bag, IMO. Some eps are hair-raisingly bad, some are gloriously brilliant in a wide variety of ways from creepy to thoughtful to hilarious, and some are unremarkable. Not to mention that I should warn you the series jumps the shark in a severe way later on - I just stopped watching, and I rather advise this course of action. ;-)
BUT... yes. In its best moments, XF was brilliant and intriguing, with multi-faceted and fascinating characters. I still miss it, in a way.

It's not just you, although I don't know if I would use the term innocent, exactly. If you mean the quality that I think you mean, at least - his refusal to accept certain facts that he doesn't want to accept, and the way he keeps on fighting a battle he knows is hopeless out of sheer dogged stubborness and his own special brand of bitter idealism, and his child-like enthusiasm for the supernatural, his eagerness to believe - and even his ignorance and/or disregard of some conventions, based on the fact he just can't be bothered.
It is a bit uneven, but some episodes almost gives me nightmares. I'm almost glad I wasn't allowed to watch this when it aired. (Although all the cool kids did) XDDDDD
And, oh, Nick Lea was on SPN? I'm not watching SPN anymore, but maybe I should chase downb that ep. :-) Who was he - a demon? Demon hunter? Shadowy, mysterious figure turning up with cryptic warnings? *g*
I'm not sure why I haven't given up on it yet either. They've completely borked it.
He was in S07E12. Dean got thrown back in time to the 1940's and he gets arrested by Lea. ^^ It's just filler episode (which means it's better than most of the crap that's been going on this season and there were even glimpses of the Dean I used to love ^^).
Yeah, it's so sad about SPN. :-( I never thought they had good writers or original (or even intelligent) plots, but at its best, the show had interesting characters and great dynamics between them. But they ruined that pretty damn quickly. I can only imagine how horrible things must have become by now...
I used to love Dean too, but they messed him up very thoroughly a long time ago, and I couldn't bear to watch anymore and watch it get worse. You're a more courageous woman than I! :-)

And god, some are *so funny*. *g* I hope you keep us in the loop as you watch more... and I may have to rewatch some of my favorite eps, too!
